Job Title: Field Service Technician (reports to the Service Manager)
We have openings for two self-motivated, goal oriented team members to join our service department; with one technician having responsibilities for the Alabama area, and the other technician with responsibilities for Northern WV and Western PA.

Scope of Activities:
Responsible for diagnosing and performing all repairs on customer owned centrifuge equipment in the field; including troubleshooting, tearing down, cleaning, inspecting and assembling parts. Must be skilled with mechanical and electrical tasks and own a complete set of hand tools. Requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, interact with customers, and complete all paperwork accurately and timely.
Scope of Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Installation, startup of new equipment
• Trouble-shooting, repair of existing equipment
• Frequent and extended travel
• Supplies own basic tools
• Requires repeated bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting 25 – 70 lbs.
• Requires good organizational skills, managing and processing paperwork
• Good interpersonal skills communicating with customers and peers, good phone etiquette.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent relationships with customers, both internal and external
Skills and Experience:
• Must have a minimum 3 years maintenance experience
• High school diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Required to hold a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record
• Strong technical; mechanical background
• Must be willing to obtain centrifuge product knowledge and applications (in house training provided)
• Must be organized and have good communication skills, including reading, writing, and understanding service instructions
• Problem solving skills
• Basic computer skills, Microsoft word and excel.
